About the Municipality
The KFN Municipal department takes care of services around the reserve, plowing and grading roads during all seasons of the year. They also assist the construction department with hauling materials- gravel, sand, etc for foundation pads of housing units. They also provide services to the community including clearing driveways, trash removal, spring cleanup. During the Hay River breakup they are also on stand-by in case of flooding to help recede the ice and water from damaging buildings. The municipal department consists of a foreman and several heavy equipment operators.

Personal Message
We do trash removal twice a week, Tuesdays and Fridays. Local grading to keep the roads in good condition. Snow removal in the winter. We also operate the school bus to make sure children are on time.
