Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Trainee

I am currently employed as the CEO Trainee. This is a two-year pilot project funded by the Department of Municipal and Community Affairs. Under the direction of the CEO, I will assist with the day-to-day operations of the Katlodeeche First Nation. Within that two years I will be taking courses towards my Senior Administrative Officer certification with the School of Community Government as well as on-the-job training.

My goal is to ensure each of these programs is running efficiently: meeting the needs of the community while also following the criteria outlined in each contribution agreement and budget

Background

I have a  Social Work diploma from Portage College and a one-year Leadership Certificate from Vancouver Community College. I am currently enrolled in the Bachelor of Human Services degree program through Grant MacEwan University. I've also taken Nechi Training as well as Grief & Loss. I've previously worked as a Crisis Intervention Worker, a Development Assistant with Dr.Swift Middle School and as a Family Life Programmer in Lac La Biche AB. I've been with Katlodeeche First Nation for the past six years.
